Biography

An Egyptian singer and actress, born in Mallawi, Minya Governorate. Her father worked as an artistic director for Fawzy Mounib's band, and her sister, Badiaa Sadek, was also a singer. Her most famous songs include "My Love, His Pampering Nature," "Oh Rose on Full Body and Jasmine," and "On Your Memory." She also acted and sang in several Egyptian films, including "The Mayor's Daughter" (1949), "The Blood Yearns" (1952), and "The Hated Love" (1953). She is the mother of actress Esaad Younis and retired singer Iman Younis. Her third daughter is Ahlam Younis.
