The beloved poet of Turkey, Nazım Hikmet, is featured on the silver screen for the period he spent in prison after 1941. Imprisoned for communist propaganda, Nazım became legendary within the prison walls as his fame grew by word of mouth. A group of friends formed around him, inspired by his poetry and painting.
