Razif's family had to disguise and convert their identity into villagers and had to adapt to the village environment.

Ustaz is a friendly person, easily entertained and well-liked by many. He works as a teacher who teaches Islamic Education at a secondary school. Ustaz values religious knowledge and constantly corrects Tommy and Razak's mistakes by giving religious reminders, hadith translations and reciting and teaching tajweed suddenly and sometimes causing them stress. Tommy is a straightforward, scatterbrained person who likes to talk nonsense. He works as a technician but is not skilled at doing electrical wiring work. He is also often scolded because he likes to make a mess. Tommy has high self-confidence and always wants to help even though situations often turn out to be more troublesome.

Her hearing parents struggle with their financial situation, as her father is only a boat man taking tourists for the fireflies tour. Kit’s mother wants Kit to learn sign language and go to school, yet Kit is not brave enough to communicate with people, as she tends to live in her own world surrounded by nature. Things begins to change, when Kit encounters one firefly that seems to communicate with her, by blinking and flying in a certain manner.
