Biography
As a freelance Producer, Dawn has a new series in development with Sunetra Sarker and Amy Leigh-Hickman and a Noir Thriller set in London and New York with BBC Studios, also alongside Sunetra Sarker. Dawn has worked on screen for leading production companies in the UK, in Film & Television - including award winning productions for the BBC, ITV, CHANNEL 4, FILM FOUR, TIGER ASPECT, ATLAS FILMS, PATHÉ PRODUCTIONS and GRANADA FILM. As an actress, Dawn has been engaged for recurring year-on-year contracts with both the BBC & ITV on award winning TV shows, working with leading Writers, Producers & Directors including Peter Kosminsky, Joanna Hogg, Sir Ben Elton and Andrew Davies.Amongst other roles: part of the original cast of the BBC’s flagship show Holby City, Dawn was a lead series regular for 3 seasons. A lead series regular in ITV’s London Bridge for 3 seasons and played a leading role in the BAFTA winning serial Moll Flanders, Written by Andrew Davis and Directed by David Attwood for ITV FILMS. Dawn trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, though made her professional theatre debut as a child at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in the West End Production of The Sound Of Music starring Petula Clark. Later, leading Theatre roles include: Noises Off by Michael Frayn, , Don Juan Comes Back From The War by Odon von Horvath, 5 O’Clock by Richard Brockman, The Mysteries by Tony Harrison, A Little Grain of Sand by Christophe Allwright and Anton Chekov’s The Wood Demon. Dawn was invited to give a series of acting workshops for the University of London and for the Sabrina Guinness initiative - YCTV. She was invited to the Actors Studio in New York by Studio Director, Mirra Bank. In LA, Dawn is an associate of the L.A Writers Group Lab 26.
